A happy week in my life!

This week started of very well. Sunday, was a bit too planned, a bit too well executed, a bit too early. Well… miracles happen! A visit to Baba Nityananda's Ashram at Ganeshpuri, zero traffic, good road, beautiful weather, greenery all around, a no nonsense cab driver, followed by a simple lunch and perfect Aarti at the temple. A break from monotony surely works wonders.

Monday went off well too. All tasks at work accomplished without any bullying or complaints from the project lead. I was about to leave for the day when my thoughts were interrupted by a telephone ring… its my Mom, I know… She is a woman with a big heart and a much bigger smile! That call was to let me know that my recipe for mint-cinnamon-ice tea was good. She actually finds a reason to call me everyday exactly at 5:45pm just to check if my day at work went well. You can't fool her, she is blessed with oodles of 'Mother Instinct'!!! I reached home calm and peaceful witnessing golden sunrays being slowly replaced by silver lunar beams. This transition brought with it a temporary restlessness to me more so because a friend was suppose to visit home that evening. I gave a quick glance to check if everything was in place... Cushions, floor mat, tea lights, the glasses... finally the door bell rang, he was there at 'my little bird house' [no don't get surprised I don't live in a tree house, this is what the small wooden board outside my apartment says] Amidst all the liveliness, and distractions an hour passed too soon than I could imagine and he left. Quite a beautiful relaxed evening!

Sometimes simple things make you happier than any big complex success.

Tuesday, it was my nephew Aditya's 10th birthday! He is far far away in terms of geography but still closer than I can imagine. He lives in my heart, his cute demands and mechanisms to melt my heart blossomed numerable thoughts. It would be still night for him, so mentally I wished all good things and got back to the series of mundane morning activities. It was like any other day with office friends, project discussions, assignments, presentations. After work the plan was to go for a movie '2012' but that somehow got cancelled and so I went for my 30-min of slow running at the nearby park. While running I made up my mind to take up a certification course in Paragliding at Kamshet (45kms from Pune) with Avi, an ex-air force fighter pilot who runs 'Temple Pilots' in sync with his wife Anita. One of my favorite song 'I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky...' seems to be manifesting. I was extremely excited so, this time that reflected in what I had for dinner... some yummy homemade chaat paapdi with fresh watermelon juice! :)
A heart -to- heart conversation with my dear friend Tina, 30-min of meditation, and a goodnight call to dad concluded the day. I wish all days were as sweet and brought immense satisfaction within!

It's Wednesday today and here I am standing by the window.
As I sip the hot coffee, a cool breeze pours in and disturbs the elevating steam from the coffee mug. I look down, there is an unusual quietness on the road, it is also quite unusual of me standing by the window and sipping the coffee. I would love to do it often but somehow our office pantry hardly offers a quiet time. But like I said it seems to be a close to perfect week for me. So everything seems to be absolutely perfect!

Alls well that ends well... hope the next 3-days of this week bring along many more moments that inspire me to write, enjoin, and stitch so to shape them into a concrete memoir.

You are here to be you... just you!

We all are a Masterpiece of our own !!!

A plum once said, just because a banana lover came by, I converted myself into a banana. Unfortunately, his taste changed after a few months and so I became an orange. When he said I was bitter, I became an apple, but he went in search of grapes. Yielding to the opinions of so many people, I have changed so many times that I no more know who I am. How I wish I had remained a plum and waited for a plum lover.

Just because a group of people do not accept you as you are, there is no necessity for you to strip yourself of your originality. You need to think good of yourself, for the world takes you at your own estimate. Never stoop down in order to gain recognition. Never let go of your true self to win a relationship. In the long run, you will regret that you traded your greatest glory - your uniqueness, for momentary validation.

There is a world for each one of you. Find that world... in fact, that world will find you.
What water can do, gasoline cannot and what copper can, gold cannot. The fragility of the ant enables it to move and the rigidity of the tree enables it to stay rooted. Everything and everybody has been designed with a proportion of uniqueness to serve a purpose that we can fulfill only by being our unique self. You as you alone can serve your purpose and I as I alone can serve my purpose. You are here to be you... just you.

In the history of the universe, there has been nobody like you and to the infinite of time to come; there will be no one like you. Existence should have loved you so much that it broke the mould after making you, so that another of your kind will never get repeated. You are original.

You are rare.
You are unique.
You are a wonder.
You are a masterpiece...
Celebrate your Uniqueness!!!

Dreams

This time in my dreams
Sky is my blanket
Moon my pillow
Stars glitter my smile
And dew drops - tears of joy.
Fresh breeze caress me
Angels shower their love and
Tulips tickle my cheek.

A friend once told me
Girl, you live in a world of dreams
I were smiling at this thought
To wake up and open my eyes
An ounce of fear, a glare and I shiver
Was that just a dream?
I turned around and found you there
I am awake and know that dreams do come true!
